from the desk of the Fashion Fairy: Beauty Culture exhibit in Los Angeles

We went to view Beauty Culture at Annenburg Space for Photography recently.  A 10 year old Stella Fashion Stylist came along to study the exhibit with me.

This fertile goddess was the ultimate beauty back in the day.  24,000BC  Venus of Willendorf.  In my book, being a Mother is definitely beautiful.  The show includes some violent images that may not be suitable for children.

In some ways we enjoyed running around the grounds more than the show.  The architecture is very thoughtfully designed.

We mean it when we say, "Kid tested and Mom approved."   Katia dress is perfect for showing off backbends whenever the urge strikes.  Definitely beautiful!

from the desk of the Fashion Fairy:Weekend at Parker Palm Springs

Traveling is one of my passions, but with a full time job and a family school schedule to manage, opportunities for going far and exotic places don't come around enough.  I like to do small, quick getaways for a change of scene, a break from everyday routine.  It's like clicking the "refresh" button for the creative mind. A weekend at Parker in Palm Springs recharged us.  We frolicked and romped.  Here follows a travel-fashion log of our stay.

Beautiful grounds, stella Devon dress has an exposed zipper in rainbow colors.

The interior gardens are laid out like a maze puzzle.

 Lots of delicate creatures were hiding in it.   And what a treasure to capture this image of a hummingbird sitting still!

We definitely got our R&R.  And we miss it already.
